Peter Gammell is one of Australia's leading and most successful businessmen. He is a director of numerous companies in Australia, USA, UK and China and was recently was appointed Managing Director of Seven Group Holdings which owns or controls interests such as Seven Media Group, the Caterpillar franchises Westrac Australia and Westrac China, Coates Hire and The Western Australian Newspaper group to name a few. Seven Group Holdings has also recently become a significant investor in Agricultural Bank of China Ltd.
Prior to the Seven Group Holdings merger, Peter was Executive Chairman of Kerry Stokes’ private company, Australian Capital Equity Pty. Ltd. ['ACE'] for many years.
Between 1984 and 1989 Peter was a director of Castle Cairn (Financial Services) Ltd. an investment management company based in Edinburgh, Scotland and a member of IMRO. Also during this time he was a director of Cairn Energy Management Limited and Cairn Energy PLC.
Peter is a former director of a subsidiary of the Bank of Scotland and Scottish Pacific Business Finance Holdings Ltd. Former public company directorships include B Digital Ltd. and R M Williams Holdings Ltd.
