This is an Octet Trading Card. It's your passport to the Octet network. When you want to buy goods from China, you simply dip your card into your Octet card reader, which is linked to your computer and the internet. We provide your card reader free of charge when you become an Octet Member.
Your status is immediately verified and you can then select the Chinese supplier with whom you want to place your order. When you're ready to order, the Octet system verifies your Business Transaction Facility has sufficient credit to cover the order and the order is placed. You can check the progress of your transaction with just a couple of mouse clicks.
When payment to Octet is required, which may be up to 60 days after your supplier was paid, you repay Octet directly from your business bank account.
You need an Octet Trading Card plus a password to gain access to the Octet network. No-one can use your Octet account unless you give them permission to do so.
No other parties are involved in an Octet transaction other than your own business and your supplier in China, communicating through the Octet network. There are no more communication issues between your Australian bank and your supplier's Chinese bank.
